Zeftronics STC

Post by n1410d »

I just installed a Zeftronics R15V00 alternator controller in my 170A. I just noticed on the STC Product Eligibility sheet that the 170 is not listed. My IA informed me that I need to file a 337 for this, but I'm afraid that since the STC doesn't list the 170, I could get into a hassle. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Pat, scores have been installed per field approvals, and Zeftronics can be very helpful. They have a website, and are located in Longview TX.
Most of their units are FAA-PMA and therefore do not require STC.
