Scott 3200 Tail wheel is excellent for the C 170
It faithfully follows you every where you go. Very durablke for many years.
I need assistance in locating original Scott factory documentation on the 3200.
I have the cessna parts manual with exploded parts view and list of parts numbers. Obviously a parts manual is not written with an informed owner in perspective.
I want the description that Scott would have provided to the air frame manufacturer. Typically 20- 40 words about typical tail wheel functionality. .
Searched the web cannot locate ... did note a new to me company name ..The landing Gear Works, Renton WA. .. appears ready to sell parts./
I don't want parts I want original documentation.

The 170 Book and the SRAM carried a small bit. The Scott tailwheels were also used in industrial applications and no luck finding any more than whats in those books.
The U.S. Army had a technical mx/ovhl manual but it appears to be out-of-print and I've been searching for a copy for over ten years now with no luck.
Scott was absorbed by Tyco and that company has it's own troubles/distractions and is unhelpful in this regard.

Alaskan Bush Wheel now owns the Production certificate, they may have some thing.

Despite being from Cessna, the SNL 10 24 50 errs in that the springs being incorrectly installed in a stretched condition will not prevent the TW from unlocking. Also other Cessna documents state the inflation to be 34 psi. Scott's own graph allows a range of pressure dependent upon applied-weight. The range graph accommodates both recommendations....and that is what the SNL is... a recommendation not a specification.jrenwick wrote:...
