seaplane AFM

Post by LakeHood170B »

I ordered one from the Cessna dealer here at AIA (Anchorage Int'l Airport). He said that Cessna told him they'd have to go to their archives to retrieve it, and the price is now $63, not $53. Why do I think all Cessna has to do is go to the file, hit the "Print" key, and make a tidy $62.99 profit? Anybody, particularly here in AK, who wants a copy, please PM me.

I've got the 170B Seaplane AFM ready for download. Go to the link below and you'll find the files available as Word documents that may be edited, or as PDF files:

Let me know if you find any errors and I'll correct them. Landplane files are there now also (that page 2 was a pain!!)

How did you copy those? I think that for the AFM to be legal it needs to be signed by the ACO as approved data.

I just scanned the laminated copies I found in my plane with Optical Character Recognition software that saves the scan as a Word document. Then I cut and paste the signature portion of the scan into the Word document. Next I use Adobe Acrobat to convert the Word document to a PDF file. I don't think we're required to have originals with original signatures on them.
