Any suggestions around the west coast would be appreciated. I'll be arriving in Las Vegas in 2 days and will be in the country for 17 days only. So a quick shop is what I need.

Stay AWAY from Ron's Aircraft Service in Las Vegas (the Cessna dealer who messed up my generator three times during the 34th convention) and avoid Medallion engines (the engine shop there who improperly "repaired" Ron's work and ruined by tach drive and caused engine oil to be dumped into my cockpit.)

Savage Magneto is not near Las Vegas, but they are an old-line shop with a very good reputation. Consolidated Fuel systems (now KellyAerospace) http://www.kellyaerospace.com/fuel.html does good carburetor work. They have a Phillipine representative:

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)

sanships,

Sorry this is late, but I've been out of town and off line since 5/17.

If you can, try Chief Aircraft. I used them for my mags and carb and was happy with the service. They usually have both in stock for immediate exchange.

Chief Aircraft used to handle Bendix mags overhauled by Kelly Aerospace.
I personally would not invest the labor to install their products if the product was free.
