EAA Arlington

Post by sea1dww »

I will be at Arlington Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If any association members are there as well, please drop by and say hello. I would enjoy meeting members from the Northwest. It looks like the weather will be comfortable and no rain is expected. See you there!

Was there today (Thurs) and only saw 3 170's, 1 a 170A for sale, and 2 170B's both from B.C. of which one mustard yellow took off and headed for home. Looks like Gary S was the only camper.

I was there from 1 to 6 in my yellow and brown B. I'll fly in each day around noon and stay till after the airshow. Hope to see you there.

I met N170PB at the fuel pump at S50. It sounds like you got your 180!

I'm having a great time meeting 170 people. I was able to spend some time chatting with Bela and Larry who keep their airplanes near where I keep mine. I've also met several families from Oregon and two from Canada who flew their 170's to EAA Arlington. I've already made plans to meet some of them again in Kelowna and next year at the new Northwest favorite 170 flyin, Red's Horse ranch. I've got to remember the sunscreen though, I'm beginning to resemble a cooked lobster. I also just received my customs decal, so I'm ready to make those border crossings. Kelowna, here I come! Today is the final day at Arlington, what a great experience! I truly recommend it to anyone who may consider making the trip.

2 things; yeah made it to arlington first ever fly in and camped very cool and of course spent too much dough on goodies. I see Dave has mentioned Red's Horse Ranch as a place the 170 folks go. Can you tell me where that is??I got snookered on the scheduling for the Kalona meeting which was dissapointing but what the heck Cheers Gary PS the 180 guys tolereted me parking with them ( just kidding) They do a trip to Johnsons Canyon also soulds like a neat place mabe they would let us 170 guys in.
