Glad you guys made it home uneventfully. Enjoyed meeting you and Scott. If you're ever back down this way be sure and look me up. It makes me feel good to know that N3477D went to a very good home.

I want to know:
What route you took?
What fuel stops you made?
How much fuel (and total cost of that fuel) for the trip?
How many hours flown?
How much oil was replaced?
How big is your grin? :P (Texas-sized I bet.) :D

rough numbers

OK gahorn I will answer some of your questions
Route-Graham Tx-Wichita Falls TX-Kingman KS-Grand Island NB-Pierre SD-Miles City MT-Havre MT-Lethbridge AB-Cooking Lake AB
The trip took 17.4 hours flt time
Burned roughly 125 US gallons at a cost of 542.59US or 7.5 gal an hour
Ikept the oil at 6 qt but I believe she likes to stay about 5.5 will advise
She flies hands off and was paitent with the ham handed jock doing the driving as he had not been in a small aircraft in about 10 years however in my defence I got current real fast in MT with winds 25-35 20 degrees off
My smile upon trip completion at least that big
Having never imported an aircraft before I was not sure what I was in for but everything went very smoothly
It was a pleasure meeting all sorts of new people on the trip and made some new friends,if any member has dealings with CraigH you have no worries no BS and his word is good, thanks Craig. Also the engineer in Graham is beyond reproach on both the financial and tech ends of the the spectrum if you need his services I would not hesitate to recommend him
Might be awhile before I post any pictures as I dont have a digital camera and after buying a plane and a hanger I dont think I can afford one.If any of you folks get up Edmonton way will always try to make room in the hanger so your girls will be under cover
Fly safe folks

Congrats on your new purchase. That was a really nice 170. I have been seeing it for years when both Craig and Andy were her caretakers. Such a low time 170! Now all you gotta do is fly her over to Kelowna in a few weeks to the 170 convention. How about it :?:

Good luck.

Yep, that's the sweet spot. Keep it there and you'll see the consumption rate go down to about 1qt every 12-14 hours.
