Landings
I took my '54 out this afternoon for a quick test flight after working on my tailwheel and remembered that one of you all said to carry a slight amont of nose down trim on final (wheel landing) ... I did ... 30 deg flap and 60 mph over the fence with a slight touch of power ... amazing ... not a hint of a hop ... touched down and stayed down ... best landing yet ... 8 kts quartering left to right. A little more practice and then I will need some sage advice about three point which is what I am used to in most tailwheels. I appreciate the forums and the advice therein ... really helps! Regards, Lee (N1967C)
Ahhhh! There's NOTHING quite as satisfying as a wheel-done landing! (Well...almost...I can think of one other thing....)
