1311D Flys Again
Here are some pics of 11D. The early pics are scanned from photos, before I owned a digital camera. I bought 11D in 1996, in pieces. Didn't work on it for a few years after. I flew it for the first time 6-1-06, have a little over 4 hrs on it now. Good to be back it the air. Its not the destination its the journey!!!!!!!!!

I had a '55 Ford F-150 to go with my '55 170B, but for some reason, I never got a photo of them together. (I think the problem was that I very rarely ever had them both road/air worthy at the same time. ) When I transferred from Tennessee to Mississippi in 1990, the Ford wasn't running, and my company wouldn't move it, so I donated it to a local high school for their auto mechanics class.

I kick myself again and again whenever I think of the very original '51 Ford 3/4 ton truck I sold for $150 because my brother wanted to borrow money for a down payment on "Horizon Properties" development property. You can still see those street-grids laid out by bulldozers across the desert 20 miles east of El Paso.
