Whats the cost?

Post by Bill Hart »

Can someone give me the cost for what it would take to put the following options in a 170. Never mind labor I just need how much it would add value to an airplane.

Harnesses
Jasco Alternator
Cleveland W&B’s
BAS tail handel
Tannis heater

Thanks Bill

Bill, I'd imagine that the amount of "value added" to an airplane will be in the eye of the beholder.
The costs associated with simply purchasing these mods can be found by shopping the retail prices of them. Is that what you are looking for? (Any value would have to include installation, depreciation, condition, etc. Mods like these do not simply increase the value of an airplane exactly the same as the price of the mod. Too many variables are involved.) Do you have a copy of the "aircraft-owners wish-book"? (Aircraft Spruce Catalog)

Typically, \
Harneses $150 - $300 each seat.
Jasco alternator $1000
Clevelands $1000
Tail Pull $300
Engine Heater $150-$500
...all PLUS installation.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
