Overhaul & Service Manuals

Post by Robert Eilers »

Gentlemen,

Where might I find the overhaul manual for the C145, service manual for the C170, and parts manual? Are they available for purchase some where? I tried the Continental web page, but didn't get very far.

Thx

Aircraft Spruce and Univair have them. There is no 170 service manual, but the Cessna 100 series service manual - 1962 and prior covers the early 172's (basically a 170 with the little wheel on the wrong end) and is full of good info.

I just bought a CD from McCurtain containing both the parts manual and overhaul manual for C-125/C-145/O-300 series engines. It was 20 bucks plus about 3 for mailing. I printed out paper copies for use in the shop and eventual filing with the overhaul records, and filed the CD for future reference. They are scanned pdf's of the original Continental manuals but the quality of both the text and illustrations is very good, and they are searchable. In case you don't have pdf reader software, that's included on the CD too.

McCurtain also has several Cessna manuals on CD.

The McCurtain CDROM seems to be quite a bargain compared to Aircraft Spruce.

Thx
