Firewall Grommets

Post by sanships »

In the process of rebuilding the my 170b, I have misplaced(ok lost) the grommets for the engine controls at the firewall. Is there any replacements that can be used that are more advanced(less expensive) than the original ones? cessnaparts.com is charging upto $140 for shiels like PN#0353111-4. There are some parts in aircraft spruce catalog that seems more technically advanced. Suggestions?

Plain stamped stainless firewall shields are available from Spruce (877-477-4823) about $7 each set. More sophisticated bulkhead types are also available for $9-$15 each. See pgs 159 and 289 of their 2005-2006 catalog.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
