Yesterday, Minnesota lost 3 National Guard Soldiers in a tragic helicopter accident. The Black Hawk was on a maintenance test flight when it went down 9 minutes after taking off. The 3 crew members that were on board were killed in the accident. The names of the crew members have not yet been released.

The facility that the Black Hawk was based is about 30 miles from me. I know and I am acquainted with some of the soldiers that work there. Security has been pretty tight and the names have not been leaked through the normal soldier gossip. I will have to wait until tomorrow when they officially release the names of the crew to know who was lost.
As an aviation community, I ask that we keep the loved ones of the lost crew in our thoughts and prayers.
