Cable routing

How do you guys run cables (COAX) from your radio install to antennae on the belly. I have a lower antennae that does not have a COAX going to it. The previous install ran through a modified (butchered) inspection plate in the floor. This left an unsightly hump in the carpet just behind the pilots pedals. I can't find a way to pass the COAX through the gear box bulkheads or down the door post structure.

After s/n 25372 Cessna added a small plate with a grommet in the left floorboard as shown in fig. 20 of the 170B IPC:
Would this work for your cable routing? As the coax will likely pass near hydraulic brake lines, fuel lines and flight control cables it's imperative that the coax be adequately secured as it snakes it's way from radio/transponder to antenna. Dave has done a lot of research into cable harnesses
here.

Gary,
Mine is an A sn 19487. I don't recall seeing anything like that in my floor.

It would be a minor alteration to cut out a similar hole and make a cover as depicted above.

...or use a "Unibit" to cut a small hole and use a grommet to prevent chafeing of the coax. This plate Gary showed (and the hole I suggested) is behind the side-panel upholstery. Just laying any type or wiring beneath carpet is not a good idea because stepping on it can damage/short it.
