Has anyone contacted The Grand Motor Inn in Deming? The phone number on our website is wrong. I checked the GMI website and called a number there but it didn't go through. I used their website reservation service and it said they are sold out for July 9-15. I thought this could be true or maybe the rooms blocked for the convention makes it appear to be sold out.

The correct number is 575-546-2632

According to published info the overflow hotel is the Day’s Inn right next door.
(575) 546-8813. Room rate is not available yet. (as of last printing)

You might want to call our host Mary McLain at 575-531-7044 for latest info.

I just made reservations at the Grand Motor Inn in Deming. It took about 5 minutes. The clerk told me they have already booked 40 rooms.

I had no problem making a reservation this morning. No warning regarding availability.

Just booked our room. Used their number for block rooms 575 546-2632. I didn't (should have) ask how many more rooms are available. If you go on the regular booking site, it says nothing is available for that week, so the 170 Assoc. rooms must be considered reserved.

A couple things about this subject...
1- They asked if I wanted a "smoking" or "non smoking" room. :( I hate Las Vegas because among other reasons, one cannot get away from cigarette smoke.
2- They stated that the only rooms available are "upstairs".... (indicated no elevator) and...
3- They indicated the only rooms available are above the restaurant ...and therefore "noisy". Hmmmn...
