Hi all, I purchased an engine from a member in Canada. Is there an easy way to get this engine back into the US without a Border Broker? Any recommendations on a freight company? I am seriously thinking of going up there my self but it is 1300 miles one way. Any help or suggestions? Thanks, D

You might check on this to see if it's still correct but I have been told if the aircraft parts were manufactured in the US, there is no duty required. I have had Cessna built aircraft parts shipped from Canada and they were shipped direct to me via UPS with no customs broker required or duty paid.

My international shipping guru told me that aircraft parts have no duty. Made in USA or not. The spruce for my Falco came in from Alberta under that designation.

I think the broker will still take a round out of you, whereas in my case I get stuff dropped off in Bellingham and then drive it across the border myself. I have to pay the taxes but that's it.
