Is there a sleuth among us?

This plane sounded and acted different.

Circled at pattern altitude 4 times. Single engine FIXED gear. Powerful engine sound .

Landed at St Clair regional airport, MO Touched down at half way point - Reversed Prop juiced with heavy braking . Stopped with 200 feet to Spare.

Taxi back I took a picture. I cannot ID the aircraft. N number is gold on white hard to read . from photo I read N _ 434C. missing first numeral. name panted in black appears to say "Choice one EX "
I am unsure about the name.

This airframe has a hefty appearance. High wing , fixed tricycle gear standard tail plane. added cargo belly pod.

Strangest feature is 8 side windows. This must be a 10-12 passenger fixed gear hauler. Who mfg this airplane?

Thanks

I think you ID d it

The posted picture of the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan is exactly what I saw.

I saw this plane from sides at a distance of 2,000 feet . One of the things that was puzzling me was that at the touch down Prop reversal, rush of power but I did not see a long stainless exhaust coming from the
engine cowling. It looked like a recip engine but sounded turbine.

Thank you again.

That was probably Air Choice One. They fly scheduled service out of Lambert STL to ORD and several oddball Midwest cities (Decatur, Ft. Dodge, Jonesboro,...) using Caravans. The company is based in Perryville, MO if I remember correctly, but was once Multi-Aero from Festus, MO.

I guess they were probably out having some fun training that day. Multi-Aero used to fly a King Air 200 and Barons into Festus in all kinds of wx years ago (2200' rwy length and NDB approach only). My good friends used to fly for them and lived to tell the tales!

Mike

You are right on in ID the airplane

I showed my iPhone pix to a young lady. She read N943AC

MY big surprise is that it is a new airplane mfg in 2015 with less than 100 hrs TT.

Decades ago I too flew out of Festus airport.

Thank you for your ID of Choice one
