New owner of 170A in AK

Post by imncntrl »

I'm the new owner of a 1950 170A N5786C. It has 180 gear legs, 8.50x6 tires and a Masa stol kit. Ive been working on my private certificate on and off for many years and finally decided I needed to buy a plane and finish. All of the info here has been very helpfull. Thanks also to Richard P. for wisdom along the way.

Hope the machine is good to you and that you're good to it. Get involved in the club. You could remain on the fringe but You'll miss and we will miss out on your contribution.

Congrats Jared on your new plane! I know it has been a long frustrating search but now you can spend your time and energy on finishing up that license and having some fun with your plane. Flying in Alaska is great year-round and you'll quickly figure it all out. Just use good common sense and always leave yourself an out and have more than one option available in case something goes wrong. Call anytime or get on the Forum with any questions. As they come up, you'll be amazed at the help the folks will give you. Good luck!
