Maybe a dumb question, but...
Are the (suspected) original 1954 Cessna 170B seats swappable from left to right and back. Not considering the seat stop issues or any of that, just wondering if they are exact and swappable.
Thanks, Karl
Original seats L/R unique or interchangeable?

Here's the list of PNs which show them to be interchangeable by Serial Number.
'53 B-model N146YS SN:25713
50th Anniversary of Flight Model. Winner-Best Original 170B, 100th Anniversary of Flight Convention.
An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons.

Re: Original seats L/R unique or interchangeable?
Thanks! While doing a bunch of winter clean-up, waiting for enough snow to fall to warrant going to skis, I was moving the seats and ended up putting my 'co-pilot' seat on the pilot seat track. I don't know why, just wanted to see if it would fit. It appeared (visually) that the seat pointed outboard a few degrees. I noted that the seat rails were not parallel with the centerline of the aircraft, and that got me wondering...
Just something I hadn't noticed before, probably because I had emptied out all the gear from the cabin, and I was viewing the cockpit from the aft baggage area.
I'll have to reinstall the pilot seat anyway, for the seat stop reel AD/SB, but it'll be interesting to see if the pilot seat gives the same appearance of 'outboard'. I suppose I'll find out, and hopefully not the $$$ way.
