Do you ride a unicycle ?
I am seriously considering getting Ryan to TRY to teach me ( again )
He is 21 , his only interest in flying is to get to bike races.
( did you watch the video ? )
John
I did many moons ago. But I was more into BMX racing.
One time a kid showed up with a unicycle at a BMX race and a bunch of us tried riding it around the track. Because we were kids with short attention spans it turned into a competition to see who get around the track the farthest. After that we started buying unicycles and just goofing around with them.
That was 20 plus years ago but I do still have one. My body doesn't give like it used too but I think I'll tune it up, the bike that is.
I watched your video and I was never as good as your boy. But I could ride downtown and carry two large paper bags of groceries home for mom. That was cool way back then.
Take a 40 plus year old pilot and try to teach him to ride a unicycle, you have an up hill battle.
I learned last year at age 49, so I had no trouble at all. Those 40 year-olds have it tough!
I bought the unicycle for Christmas two years ago and told my kids that I'd learn to ride if they did. Being 12 and 9, they had no trouble. It took me a while longer, but I learned. I can't free-mount or go up and down curbs like they can, though.

I am an avid mountain biker in South Africa and the170 I got from Seattle last year has Bass Jump seats in the back. The bikes fit perfectly in amongst the tents and backpacks and beer.
You could just whip out your rear seat and do the same?
Reid.
After listening to everyone’s advice and playing around in the hangar, I’ve decided my best option is to remove the rear seat and go with full size bikes.
My wife has no desire to learn to ride on a unicycle and it is hard to justify purchasing folding bikes when our current bikes slide right in once the rear seat has been removed. I can fit one bike on top of the rear seat with the back folded down but is it a hassle getting the bike in especially with the shoulder harnesses in the way.
