Make sure your seat stop is engaged!

Next time you guys make a take-off... pay especial attention to your pitch-trim wheel to determine where it will allow a takeoff attitude to occur even with hand's off. That way, if/when your seat slides aft you can LET GO of the wheel (if you have briefed yourself on the manuever) and the airplane should continue a gentle climb.
Remember to consider the change-of-CG of your new aft-seat position.
I discovered that a nuetal trim tab position equals a nuetral lift off and flat climb out on my typical flights with typical loading. Although my seat tracks and seat locking mechanisms are in excellent condition, I have the mental attitude that should my seal slide aft on takeoff, I plan to release the yoke immediately.
This could be simulated/practiced with another qualified pilot/instructor in the copilots seat.

(Not suggesting abnormal conditions are to be accepted by this post.... I'm only discussing an attitude of mental preparedness regarding known deficiencies of the design. Consistent use of secondary seat stops are certainly worthwhile, as are regular inspections of seat rails/seat pins.)

the seat is in the most forward postition
for pic taking purposes,
so this pencil, which looks like
one of my kid's,
will not interfere with seat travel.
i'll remember to remove it next trip out.
it supposed to be 60-70 here the next
couple of days,
so i'd better do some flying.
