Hello all,Iwould like to introduce myself as a new member.
My name is Duncan Russell and my wife and I reside in Edmonton,Alta.
Started in aviation as an ag-pilot,then 12years of bush and overseas flying.Presently working as a B-737 Capt. for Westjet Airlines.
Looking to purchase a 53 to56 C170B.This website has been very helpful
in my research and I look foreward to both utilizing and contributing to this organization.

No need for alarm ,the user name only refers to the fact that I have been to both poles.

Baby sister works at McMurdo (I think spelling is correct) have you been there?

Never made McMurdo.My main contract was with a British company.When I did do US flying it was out of Amundsen/Scott (south pole)or Siple Dome.

I was flying my favourite a/c of all time (until I get a 170)theDHC-6Twin Otter.For the antarctic the a/c was on straight skis.

Hello, Duncan! Welcome!
Perhaps you've run across another of our members down in the Antarctic...Jack Holt ? Jack has an A model with 180 Lyc and a constant speed. He spends time in AntArctica on geology/meteorology business with Univ. of Texas and lots of his work is onboard highly instrumented Twin Otters down there.
