I put 4 guys in mine. Had a nice long runway and 3 guys needing a ride back to the airport after a dropping off their warbirds for display at an airshow. The 170 got off quicker than I thought but climb rate was dismall to say the least. Heavy 170's are not what I consider a lot of fun to fly but it is surprising what they will do. Of course I would never fly over gross. Congradulations on your purchase and I hope you see fit to join the association. There is a lot of good info on this site and in the association publications. Once again, thanks for all of the input here. I'll be shopping seriously over the next few weeks, hoping to find a winter bargain! :D
