Re: $170 Leaf Spring Bushing
Thanks gentlemen!! I will try to measure mine when I get back to the hangar. It did fit snug in the 4 new springs. Log book goes back to 92 and not one mention of any mx to the tailwheel. I'm sure a few more would be fine!

A friend just told me about Textron’s price review:
Textron's pricing model is automated and set by computer. Sometimes the algorithm gets to an extreme based on remaining inventory and lead times and cost to reorder.
In the lower right hand corner of the textron webpage for a given part, there is an escalation link to have a human reconsider the price. I have not done it, but understand they do make adjustments.

It is just amazing to me that Textron thinks that is a good business plan.......

There is a rumor which has been passed about that when a new OEM part is sold by the OEM that it re-opens mfr’r product liability. If so…the insurance must be astronomical.

If there isn’t excessive play, I’d slap her in with some grease protection. A local machine shop could turn one out for a lot less than $1000. Maybe for a case of beer.
