Re: replacing seat covers in a 49 A
I have a very, very nice condition sales brochure for the 1951 year model, if those have the same interior as the 1949 airplanes. I could dig it out and scan it.
I also have a mint condition (as in it looks like it literally left the printing presses yesterday) sales brochure for the 1952 model. It was the first item that I've bought that was under-represented. I was floored when it showed up.

I know this was a old message but I would like to find period correct upholstery also. Does anyone have any pics or contacts for a 1949 - A?
49 A model, serial 18963

You might want to browse thru the Mx Library where several posts might apply…. including this one: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1094&hilit=sales+b ... &start=120AWilson wrote:I know this was a old message but I would like to find period correct upholstery also. It is very hard to find documented original interiors to take photos of. I do have lots of pictures of a unmolested 400 hr '48 here with good shots of the front and back seats. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=9358AWilson wrote:I know this was a old message but I would like to find period correct upholstery also. They did not change much, if at all from '48 to '49. The photographed plane was a green paint plane so the interior fabric colors may/probably be different but the weave of the cloth would be the same. I've recently heard a owner of either a '48 or '49 found the exact seat cloth which was used on a Packard and still made and available from a auto restoration company.
