Instrument Panel Upgrade

Re: Instrument Panel Upgrade
Don't know if I ever mentioned it, but FAA/PMA cat food cans can make great bezels, and you can feed the neighbors cats.
Re: Instrument Panel Upgrade
I never had much experience feeding cats, but some tears ago I was dean of a college type course for cats to learn how to swim.
The final course exam required them to swim across the San Joaquin River carrying a standard concrete block. The river really had a lot more water in it in those days than it has today. We finally decided to close the school due to the extremely low graduation rate, and the lack of interest in the course, especially among cats and their owners, if any.

What do you want a picture of Dave? Don't know if you realized, the last post to this thread before yours was 6 years ago in 2012.iowa wrote:could s.o. post a picture of these?

hi bruce
yes, I knew it was an older post
but wondered if anyone really made the bezel from the cat food can
and could post a picture of this?
or if there was another source for them other than
univair at $308 each
or chapporall at $98 each

Well done to bluelder, bless his soul. I have never laughed so hard about the cats learning to swim certificate.his sense of humour will never be able to be replaced. Maybe we could get all his quotes of life that he put together and publish it in the fly paper.
Re: Instrument Panel Upgrade

Re: Instrument Panel Upgrade
There's something 'fishy' about this post's recommendation (to use cat food cans for bezels.)

was there ever a concensus
about the best source for the insturment bezels?
s.o. posted that they had made them out of wood.
what type of wood was used
and how would one go about this?

Your limits are your ingenuity. Think outside the box. Maybe you'll figure out how to make these much sought after items.
