Magneto Inspection

Post by Onewinglo »

Looks like my mags are about due for the 500 hour inspection. Can anyone recommend a good shop for this service? Both are Bendix. My left mag is the newer one and it is a S6LSC-21, not sure about the right mag.
Thanks, JP

I have had my Bendix mags overhauled twice as well as having alternator work done by Aaron Williams at Select Aircraft Services which is located at the Lancaster, TX airport (KLNC). Aaron is honest and does good work at reasonable costs. In addition he is next door to another business that handles parts so he has good access to parts that might have to be replaced (one year he replaced a cracked half of my mag case). He is also 1/4 mile from Air Salvage Dallas which has many, many parts availability. I know of quite a number of other pilot friends and some 170 members who have used Select successfully. Aaron's address is 690 Ferris Rd, Ste 4A, Box 16, Lancaster, TX 75146. 972-227-9580 or 9581 . I have used him for the past 10 yrs and highly recommend him.
