Did any of you build these when you were younger?

Re: 170 Models
I’ve had two of the Guillows 170 kits since the 1980s. My plan was to build one to fly and one for display. All I need to get started is a round tuit.

The Guillows, but let's just say I started it when I was young. It's still on the bench, waiting for me.
Re: 170 Models
A couple years ago my dad used the Guillows kit to make me a model of my 170. He wasn't happy with the quality of his workmanship but I love it. Building a stand for it is on the quarantine project list.

Should still have time to build it, Miles. No fly-ins for a while. I have one of those kits the kids gave me some years ago. Guess I should build mine too!cessna170bdriver wrote:I’ve had two of the Guillows 170 kits since the 1980s. My plan was to build one to fly and one for display. You’re absolutely right Bruce, it’s the “round tuits” that stay in short supply at my house...bsdunek wrote:Should still have time to build it, Miles. No fly-ins for a while.
