Just sold my 170 and bought a cub for an extra 30K. I enjoy telling people I got a more expensive plane that goes slower and carries fewer people. Non aviation types look at me like I must be crazy. The condition of the cub was slightly less than the 170. All I can figure is that the demand is much much higher for the cubs than the 170. The supply of cubs far exceeds that of the 170. Go figure. For these reasons it makes the 170 in my mind one of the best values out there.
