Part Identity

Post by MoonlightVFR »

I purchased parts in 1999 - JUst relocated the box.

They are O rings. part number MS28775-224, I suspect they are for Brake wheel cylinder. Is that correct.
unopened package 17 years in garage. They are in original sealed PKG.

Would it be legal to install them?

Should I discard them and buy fresh mfg parts ?.

By the way, I have never opened the Clevland Brake cyl . Installed new 1974.

That O-ring is used on many Cleveland brake cylinders. I'd trash them. 17 years is beyond the shelf life for MS28775 O-rings, and even if you don't care about that, 17 years is pretty old. They cost 58 cents each from Spruce.
