Nice. I wish my home airport had a grass runway.

Nice looking plane and good job on the video! Congratulations, you'll enjoy flying the 170, it is an honest airplane. Just be careful with those double puck Cleveland brakes.

Nice landings...all due to those "new" steering springs, no doubt!!

Ha. Yeah. I think those coupled with the Tailwheel rebuild makes for a much more pleasant experience. Thanks for the parts. Still needs some brake to steer, but I'm told that's a 170 attribute.

Hello, and congrats on the new plane. I don't live in Denver NC anymore but my parents do. :D My wife and 2 boys fly up there every few months from Stuart FL and visit in our 170b. I learned to fly at Lake Normal air park and we normally fly into there for our visits. It would be fun to meet up the next time we are in town if you live close to Denver and you plan to be based in Linclonton. Check out Laneys for some fun on a grass strip. I will message you the next time we head that way if your interested. Have fun with the 170.

So the previous owner just send me a gift....
A STOL kit from Stene Aviation.
Now just have to determine if it's worth installing or ebaying.

I just flew my plane for the first time with a Stene/Sportsman STOL kit today! There is definitely a performance gain, but it was so windy and turbulent that I can't give you any solid #'s yet but I can tell that I am going to like it. Hang on to it! More testing to come....

I'll let you know when I get a chance to fly in some decent wx. I live in WA and we've been under a fire hose all month. We've already broken the record for rain for December and the month isn't over. Today we had 46 mph winds and trees down everywhere. Looks like maybe some better wx over Xmas, can't wait to go wring it out!!!
