You mean, does Spruce's site say that the kits are from McFarlane? I don't know, but that's what they are.

i ended up with some new McF rollers and had them installed, looked good and were very smooth. i was curious as to why these nylon versions had a pronounced v-channel in them instead of being curved like the original? i had assumed the McF rails are similarly shaped but that isn't the case. although beefier, the profile on the top is pretty much the same as cessna's.
i am now having a real binding issue with them, as though that v-channel in the roller is riding a bit high now and that causes the lower section of the seat legs to bind up under the bottom of the track T section. i gave them a call to make sure i've got the right ones but believe there really isn't any others for the 'early seats'.

Clean the carpet threads out of them and lubricate them with either paraffin wax or WD-40.

If that "V" on your rollers continues to be an issue you, or someone you trust, can put them in a lathe or a drill press and make the "V" into more of a "U" shape like your old rollers. Several years ago my seat rollers were worn and my mechanic took a stick of that material mentioned above, placed it in my drill press and made all 8 of my rollers. They have worked better than the metal ones since.

My rollers are Cessna (metal) and they work fine.
But I've noticed that some people, when attempting to slide the seat AFT.... apply their efforts to the seat BACK as opposed to the seat CUSHION.... in other words, by leaning back they lift the front legs of the seat which then increases friction by applying friction to the under-side of the seat rail thru the seat-leg foot.
If I instruct them NOT to lean back...but to lean slightly FORWARD...and slide their butts to the rear...the seat works flawlessly every time!

Hope those metal ones never wear out! Sounds like Texas is different.

I suspect the nylon/delrin type rollers are easier on the metal tracks than the metal rollers, as far as wearing out the tracks go.

It's definitely easier to replace the rollers then the tracks.

I've done some interior changes and my seats are finally ready to go.
what kind of weights do your seats come in at?
my back seat was a 33lber. front seats were about 22lber's each!! can you believe that!!?? 8O strangely the front seats were different weights ...frame only they were almost 2lbs different!
new ones are almost half that weight!
i'm not hunting for the lightest seat with zero comfort but i thought i'd share anyway.
