Naaww.... (But, if we pointed it backwards..... I'd be willing to try a .50 BMG!)

Hey Cowman,

Whereabouts in NE WI are you? I'm in Oconto and its my first winter with a 170 as well. (And yeah, my wheel pants are staying in the hanger.)

Clintonville....Not too far away. Do you ever get to any of the Friday dinners at central county 68C, or any of the Wisconsin flying hamburger socials during the summer?

Yup, I get to Iola once in a while, but I still work a 9-5 so not as often as I like. Haven't had the 170 there yet.

The guy who bought my PA-12 was talking about a hamburger social somewhere in central WI, but I can't remember where? Sounded like fun.

Jay Baeten puts on a great breakfast spring through fall on 2nd Saturday of each month at his grass strip just south of De Pere. There is usually a good collection of 170's there, and Jay has forgotten more about these planes than many of us will ever know.

In one of my Smilin' Jack comic books back in the late 40's, Jack reminded that "smart pilots take their pants off in the winter", so I do.
