Bush STOL kit performance

Post by dj2790 »

I have a 1952 170B with a Bush STOL kit on it. I have not been able to find any performance information on this installation. Does anybody have experience with this modification and the performance gains (or changes). I'm referring to takeoff speeds, climb speeds, glide speeds, etc. I'll be grateful for any information I get. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion, which is NEvER humble, the only practical method of determining the information that you are apparently looking for would be for you to go out and fly the particular airplane to find how it acts and how your particular instrumrnts record it. These airplanes are old as are the instruments and I would be doubtful of information otherwise attained. I have never seen two stall speeds the same when reported by different pilots with the same modifications.
