Original FAA Weight and Balance Certification
Does anybody know the FAA/Civil Air Regulation that the original Cessna 170A/B was certified under? I need to know what station all the pertinent position are (fuel, seats, etc). For instance, what station are the forward seats at? The CG charts don't show this. Maybe I'm missing something, but I welcome any help. Thanks a lot.

Re: Original FAA Weight and Balance Certification
To answer your first question the 170 was certified under CAR3.
Most of the arms you will need can be found in the TCDS or the Owners manuals.
The arm for the front seat that is found most often is 36 though that would really depend on where you adjust your seat.
Here is a link to a thread with contains Excel spreadsheets I did several years ago for all models of 170. http://www.cessna170.org/forums/viewtop ... 26&t=10379
