170B flight

Post by Kelleys »

I will likely be purchasing a C-170 soon and am looking for an orientation flight (or two) in the Rhode Island area before I buy. I will be more than happy to pay an hourly fee. I have a little over 300 hrs in tail wheel aerobatic birds but only a couple hours in a C-170 about 15 yrs ago. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time. I really have enjoyed this board as it is a wealth of information.

Thanks

Gents,

Thanks for all the welcome messages. Hopefully will have a bird soon. Getting a prebuy set up as well as a good check out in the C-170. Hope everything falls within acceptable margins on the prebuy. This web forum has been awesome for gathering information. Will give an update once it all goes through.

Regards

Travis,

I'm right up the road from you on Cape Cod. Happy to take you up in my 170B - they are a delight to fly , maintain and share with people.
Send me a PM (private message) and I'll provide all my contact info.

I'm heading south (with the 170) on Sunday the 23rd - so we may fly after I get back but no worries, we'll get it done.

Kyle

Sorry to semi-hijack the thread

I fly a TR182 out to EWB each summer from California to spend some time on Cuttyhunk Isl. My father-in-law flys various planes in and out of there on a 700 ft. strip. I was going to bring my 170B out there, but I have too much fun with it in Calif. Which airport do you base your 170 out of? Come over to EWB for a visit

Hi Jim,

I'm out of CQX (Chatham) in the Winter and PVC (Provincetown) in the summer. We should try for a breakfast or coffee stop this summer.
Reach out after or maybe just before you get here this year and we can try something...
