Engine Monitor

Post by IP076 »

All,

Who's running an engine monitor?

Being a new owner, I'm looking for inputs. Not necessary? Nice to have? Must have?

I'm interested in the idea of a fuel flow/totalizer, along with EGT/CHT indications, and perhaps replacing the existing tach, oil temp, oil press. Really, just looking to see what folks have done.

I've looked at the CGR-30 and the Garmin GI-275. Anything else to look at?

Thanks!

I have the EI FP5L-90 in my bird for fuel totalizer . and EI UBG-16-6 for engine montoring. Both are easy to program and use.

Just installed the Cgr30p. Very happy with it. Did not get the oil pressure or temp with it just because I did not want to have empty holes in the panel.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
