Looking for a fuselage part

Post by drewsey4516 »

I'm trying to locate a wing part for my ' 53 170B. It's part number 052 0007 Plate-Wing aft upper fairing, for the left wing. It's the fairing that covers the rear of the wing to fuselage area, adjacent to the flaps. If anyone has one for sale or knows of someone parting out a fuselage, please let me know. Thanks a bunch and safe flying! Mike Stahlman N4516C

Mike- If it's like what I'm thinking, just a flat piece of aluminum, you could turn the right wing fairing upside-down for a mirror image template.

Hi Mike! What happened to the one you had on it? There were some 170's being parted out in the "Trademart" section of this forum, shouldn't be too hard to find.

Good guess Richard, it appears that’s what is needed. The part is mostly flat but it also has a small bend on one side to slip under the top fuselage skin and of course you need to use an edger to each side. Need measurements? Let us know.

I'll call mschlender tomorrow. And yep, it's a flat piece that I've thought of duplicating, using the right one as a template. Thanks for everyone's help! Mike

Dale Faux in Florida is helping Sharon Trembly part out his ‘52B that hit a parachute on landing several years ago. Check FaceBook or look him up in the 170 directory.
