I covered the hole in front of the oil pan with duct tape, and blocked about 1/2 of each cowl inlet from the spinner out.
Looks like he closed the half closest to center of the engine.

Just make sure you make fuel weight adjustments for temperature differences when doing your W&B computation prior to flight.

I took the rudder push rod out and was able get my hand in there. my wrist was sore from the sharp edge but I managed to get both sides that way.

Good day for a fly-in! Six 170's' flew in, 2 B models and 4 A models. 12 people and only 3 were driving and we needed those vehicles and the airport courtesy car to get everyone into town to eat. I think everyone enjoyed "Prontos" Italian food and the pie that was served back at the airpo...
