Re: Loan approval complete - Now, which plane?
Not even an opinion. Shoulder harness accidents are far more damaging to the body than inertia reel that support the whole body. do not even consider a shoulder harness. Go with a good inertia reel harness. It will save your life and if you do have an accident with the shoulder harness and survive t...

Re: Cleveland Brakes "Drip"
Oh Darn...you mean the stainless liners are not FAA approved? Luckily with teh sequester there will be far less inspectors and mostly with less knowledge so common sense can rule

Re: For Sale O-300-A and Accessories
Teledyne Continental Motors M65-14 details instructions for stamping a data plate when making a model change. Basically you stamp a "C" for Change after your moeld number then like from an "A" to a "D" it would read 0-300ACD indicating the change/ SIL 00-9A tells you ho...

Re: I0-360 STC discussion?
Better try the Aerocet 2200's first. I will let you test drive and do the very reduce power take offs I had to do to get the STC. No rivets, no drag...or a heck of a lot less. Call me when the lakes turn back into water

Re: I0-360 STC discussion?
I have to agree to just do what you want and don't worry about the money. As it has been said, when it is all said and done and you are looking back on your life, what will you regret more? The things you did or, the things you wish you had done. I went ahead and got a multiple STC for the Aerocets ...

Re: Oil Sump Corrosion
I'm pretty sure the oil sumps are made of magesium and at their age they are terminally contaminated when it comes to being welded. Cleaning them to achiece a serviceable bond with apoxy is also very difficult. I have heard of more failed repairs than successful ones. I think replacement is by far t...

Re: Oil Sump Corrosion
There are some old links on this subject. There used to be a shop in Canada like maybe Kelowna that did epoxy repairs. I do not know of any approved repair stations and I do know you have to control the heat and heat the whole sump to a certain temp then weld it on the outside and then heat it again...

Re: Where's George
MMO barbed prod??? I freaking hate acronyms. Can you give me that in English? I do speak a bit of Spanish so that will work too. So the deal is, what is the last thing you did to help your spouse out that got you in trouble because in the act of helping you made a comment that was in their opinion, ...
