Just discussing...not arguin'... I'm not sure I'd encourage exploration in the lower end just because the cylinder may be off. While it's certainly interesting to look down in there... there's really not much criteria to judge what is being looked at in that condition... There's no measurements tha...

OK I'll chime in. I was working on my private in 1975 and bought my first airplane, an Aeronca Chief. (Undoubtably the hardest tailwheel type I've flown, and I've flown quite a few types.) One year and 150 hours later I sold the Chief and began a search for a four place airplane. The search started ...

It replaces the round cover plate and has a disk with rubber gasket glued on to it bolted to the vent housing with a spacer that it slides on. There ...

As for the bigger engine I believe it's what that airframe should have had all along. Except Lycoming didn't make it until 1963 :) With the stock engine we would cruise at 100 knots at 7500 or 8500 feet and it would labor hard to get higher. Sea level climb loaded would be 3-400fpm. But it would be ...

I It comes with a 32 meg MMC data card, which is too small to make much use of the surface map data they provide. So I bought a 512 meg SD card, because my camera can use it, and Lowrance says the unit supports both MMC and SD card types. When you buy a database update from Jepp for this thing, it'...
