The strangest things thing is in the last sentence of what Gary posted where it says to Move the CHT to number 6. 5&6 are in the vicinity of 100 degrees cooler on my engine than the other four. I guess with a single point CHT that would cure the problem of excessive cylinder temps.

ForeFlight has that feature, and you can click on the airport and get the full AWOS report and most any other info about an airport you might want.

I scrolled thru the 5 pages of 170 qualified CFIs and didn't find anyone in CT but there are a few in the NE. Maybe some of them could give you a lead. Good luck

Going thru an old photo album (remember those) I found this pic from the day I met Jim Wildharbor June 3, 1984 @ Bourland Field in Texas. The Texas group had gone to the Pate Museum of Transportation which closed in 2009.
