Re: Road Trip NO Aircraft Sightings
I want to go to that event so bad, but I couldn't get out of working. Justin, I have tried the TO techniques in this backcountry video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfXT38YIO6g I don't have any hard numbers to report, and I have a long ways to go to perfecting it, but it cuts my TO roll down signi...

Re: Attention to detail
Where is this oil pressure relief valve you speak of? Mine runs on the high side, and think I would like to have a mechanic check this valve, if there is one associated with the c145.

Re: Engine Mounted Oil Filter Adapter
I was able to order 2 gasket kits from FM today (5/20/15). Contacted the # on their website, 806-231-8218. I'm not sure who I talked to but, he seemed eager and knowledgeable and has my order in the works. After all my research, I was worried about this. Cost was $15 per kit + shipping, should ship ...

170 Travel Kit
I'm putting together a travel bag to remain with my aircraft. I'm curious as to what items everyone carries with them as far as tools, spare parts, and emergency stuff. A bare necessities kit if you will, for trips away from home.

Re: Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)
The frame is riveted on to the stringers along the roof, I belive you can see them in the photo. The speaker did mount with 2 bolts in the speaker. I would venture to say it is original then. Can't imagine I'll ever do anything with it. Idk I'll rescue it from the trash and save it just in case.

Re: Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)
The deed is done, it wasn't any fun and its a good thing I decided to replace all 4. It still beat working on a front wheel drive car!!! Plus I was able to shed the intercom speaker, not much weight but it counts!! Here is a pic of the two old center tube lines.. Now to button everything back up!! ...

Re: Not looking forward to this repair (Fuel Vent Hose)
What's holding the speaker frame to the top of the cabin if you removed the speaker?! BTW if you have an original speaker, don't get rid of it no matter the condition. They can be rebuilt and are a hard to find item. It is in rough shape, I don't know if its original or not judging by the condition...
