Re: Alaska Pilots

My $0.02 worth - I also have wathed a couple episodes of Alaska Pilot and also being an amateur Prospector, I have watched at 5 of the "Gold" series. I also talked to a gold mine operator friend of mine who said he was initially contacted to be part of the "group." He declined. F...

Re: Auto Gas & Av gas Users

Haven't we all read the studies conducted by our favorite state and Federal folk that assures us that there is no manipulation by fuel companies either the distillers or distributors :?: Yeah, right and I can get 2000' per minute climb rate from my O-300D on a hot summer day. :(

The New York State plane had the following: N1NY - at that time it was appropriate (Niny)

Here in NV the state plane is --> N711 Go figure!

Re: A new test pilot...

Listening to the news reporter - I could swear she said the wings and body were crafted from "aluminium sh :o t"

Disappointed the clip ended too soon, I wanted to see the Maiden Flight.

Re: Fuel Scan FS 450

Josh, Thanks for your post - I have had the 450 in the plane for about 4 years now and never had a problem. I did adjust the K factor a few times shortly after installation. What happened to me a few weeks back probably was a fluke - I had flown about 2+ hrs and knew my burn was about 8gph but when ...

Re: Fuel Scan FS 450

Think about your answer. If this were the case when I topped the tanks I would have consumed more fuel than the 16 gal I Did use which is exactly what I figured I had used.

I suspect an internal "glitch" within the unit.

Fuel Scan FS 450

Has anyone out there using a FS 450 experience any problems? I have owned mine for about 5 years. No problem ever until this weekend. Guaranteed full tanks both wings. Short 45 min fight all is going well. On return flight i looked at the FS 450 and noticed it read 25 gal used. I knew this to be inc...

I don't know why I'm stepping in on these posts except I was supposed to go flying and it' pouring outside. So Bruce, are you telling us that the CC-195 (180 &185) groups are more tecnologically andvanced than the 170 group or are they a Federally funded 501(c)(3) group and can afford better sof...

Re: interesting photo

Hmmmm - LOL, now that I have re-read what I posted it does seem to be a tad off center - of course we all know that ALL 170 pilots - irrespective of geographic location are far superior to other pilots (expecting feedback on this as well) I did not mean to infere any negativity in my original post. ...
