The reason I wonder is because the pedals (in the pictures) are "asymmetric" - there is a ridge along the bottom of the pilot's pedals that is not there on the right side.
haven't had a chance to ask the owners yet...

I'm being tempted by a '48 170 and was wondering if there is anyone in the area that might be able to give me a ride in theirs ... I'm flying a 172 now, have about 4hrs in a friend's 140, and want a taildragger to build time in before my RV-8 is done.
