Digital tachs

Over the last couple of months I've noticed my airspeed increasing a few knots at the same power setting. Borrowed a tach checker and found my tach reading about 600 RPM low. It is the original from 1963 according to the logbooks and I plan on hanging onto the bird for awhile. Any suggestions for a ...

I have a few problems with all of this. 1. You can't lock a Emb 145. 2. If the aircraft is away from the gate why try to get in it?
