I completed a overhaul on a 0-300-A with a very bad sump, it was sent to AOE, it came back repaired, and it looked great, and I got the same story that has been posted here. They do have a STC in Canada, but we can get a field approval in the US if the A&P needs one. the cost was 450.00 Too bad ...

These mag sumps can be welded with good results, I have a 5 bolt with a weld repair for sale exchange.
Tungsten Inert Gas welding was invented to weld Mag during WWII, temp control is important during cool down they will crack during this period.

I just had a talk with Tom Anderson, he gave me these as prices for the IO-360 mod. $1500 for the engineering, $30 for a set of prints, $5000 for an engine mount, $500 for a header tank. You still need to manufacturer all the fuel lines, modify the cowl, controls, exhaust, Plus all that, and buy an ...
