Re: Heat Duct Dimensions
David, As you go through this project it would be great to see pictures of your progress as well as any "I ran into this" type of advice. Not that I'm advocating purchase but you could check the unmentionable auction site and see some of the heater parts as advertised, including a beat up ...

Re: Best Three Mods
Hi Greg,
1) Tail pull handles
2) HSI - Century vacuum driven unit - SO simple, driven by my Garmin SL30 and the venturi tube w/regulator -
3) sholder harness's that retract - best thing since black labs.
lots more of them to talk about but I'll save that for the walk around over a coffee.

Re: AVCON O-360 STC contact info
Another source is Stoots Aviation in Fairbanks Alaska. They have STC'c for a 180, 200 and at some point (maybe it's done) a 210 hp lycoming for our 170's... You may find that paying slightly more for your desired result from a company that's current with supportable products is money well spent. htt...

Source for POlygone 300-AG
Evening,
I tried searching for a recent post that listed Polygone 300 as a great product to remove sealants / glue etc. from the interior compartment areas.
Anyone recall this and most inportantly have a source of supply?
Many thanks,
Kyle

Rudders
Evening everyone. Just over a week ago we had a Nor'Easter pass thru Cape Cod. My 170B rudder was damaged. It will need both lower skins and the Bell crank replaced. The trusty leather / bungie cord "rudder saver" could not resist the winds. One of our fellow 170 members loaned me one of h...

Re: Instrument panel upgrade 2
Thought you might enjoy one other panel. Mine is a 52 and from the factory had the 7 holes straight across. I made this one and changed a few things. The outboard holes are enlarged from 2 1/4 to 3" and the HSI is obviously not stock. One of the challenging parts of this project was to make the...

Re: Instrument Panel Upgrade
Evening everyone, happy new year. We installed the new overlay today complete with the HSI trim ring. We used 1/4 x 1/16 wall brass tube. Pinched in a vise to closely duplicate the shape of the original trim rings. Then each individual section was cut to length with a 45 or 90 degree end. On the bac...
