I do not have an alt static system or sw so can't do that but can do the next best thing, altho a bit archaic, and that is just pull the static source off the encoder. Tested the A/S indicator for leaks....none. Gonna try pulling the static line off the encoder in cruise and check for any changes in the A/S, VSI and Altimeter. Running out of things to try.

Does anybody know where I can get the original door restraints that came on a '54 170B. Just bought the airplane and it not only doesn't have any but no mounting holes can be found anywhere on the underside of the wing nor is there any hole in the top of the door.

Anybody have any experience flying their 170 with VG's installed? I would like to hear some comments on how it flew before and after. I did it on my C-150 and it made a tremedous difference in the slow flight regime and power on stall regime.
