We are WARMING UP! At a -5 ......headed to above zero Today!!!!! Anybody remember the TV Show "Northern Exposure" (one of my all time favorites)...and the Nenana Ice Classic , "Breakup" ......you guess it, at 12 noon today all that can make it to Lake Benton we are running throug...

We have lucked out .....the Temp is down to a -24 but the wind has died down some so we haven't dropped below that -55 to -60 windchill.

Projected high for today is a balmy -15.....

most of the livestock is gone. I have 6 head left. Water was still open and hour ago ........

7pm and we just hit -55 wind chill...... I think it's going to be a little brisk come morning.........

How cold is it in your area....

It's so cold that.....Grandpa's teeth are chattering in the glass

We hit the High Temp for the day at 5:45 am at a minus 10 (-10 F) .......at 7am it is now a -14 and dropping. We are to reach a -30 by tomorrow a.m. with wind chills to reach a -55 to -70.......yikes!!!!

MMO just for you........oooopppppssss that another one of those topics for a cold winter day and no flying eh.

Then as I was researching them again for the Champ, people commented 1) they don't work 2) I would claim they work because I spent the money 3) what the hell do you want to put them ...

Put them on my Super Champ about 5 weeks ago. The kit is fantastic and easy to use. Complete paperwork as well, they do it right. I did it myself as well, under direct supervision of and A&P :D :wink: . I used some scaffolding on wheels which was a life savor. If I do another I will have someone...

Just a thought....... when I had the 0-300 "57" I had made some cowl plugs to restrict the intake.......in my Champ I'm making a restricting plate on the lower cowl for exit air. Suppose to induce more air into the scat tube for cabin heat.....don't know yet, but may work as well on a 170....

Our Family was blessed to spend the day with Richard and Ina with all the fixins.......a little flying too.
