That was quick! I’m impressed. I’d never heard of this plane. Rather humorous that “KLM purchased a Y-1 (PH-APY) for use in training their pilots in tricycle undercarriage.” Instead of a tailwheel endorsement, apparently their pilots needed a tricycle endorsement.

I haven't seen any criteria for the maximum allowable corrosion/pitting on the crankshaft flange itself. See this thread for information on corrosion between the flange and the oil seal. Where does the flange begin? At the O.D. of the crank-flange radius or at the I.D.?

Varel, I wouldn't be too concerned about stress on the fuel lines -- the transducer only weighs 5.3 oz. I believe they call for supporting the transducer by using an adel clamp on the fuel line because this attenuates the vibration to the transducer. Their instructions for hard mounting the transduc...

Glad to help. Let us know how you repair this Doug. To prevent the knob from spinning, it seems it would have been a better design if the knob was pressed on a shaft with a square cross section.
